Note: TFP has pivoted toward Steam Deck compatibility as the primary Linux target. The officially recognized Linux environment is SteamOS 3.0 (codenamed Holo), which is based on Arch Linux with a rolling update model and ships with the KDE Plasma 5 desktop. Any Arch-based distribution should be broadly compatible. Ubuntu-based distros are not the recommended baseline going forward; please confirm the current officially supported configuration with your system administrator or check the 7 Days to Die support page before deploying on a non-Steam Deck Linux system.
*Running a dedicated server requires more ram and heavier use on your CPU. For more information about the requirements for a dedicated server, see here.
